Credo (a poem)

Updated: Jul 15

All that it, is now.

Only the past is forever

And the future’s always changing.

We live in a shared moment

Which seems like a wave

Moving on the waters of space – time.

God, the Father, is the Terrible One.

Everything is a lot.

But the arrow of time

Gives both freedom and consequence.

The Son, the Christ,

Leads to a future that is more complete.

Someday we can be whole.

The Spirit ties past to present.

What has been still is and will be.

The physic field’s a battery

That holds our souls and allows rebirth.

Reality is deeper and broader than we know.

While we live, it is a mystery.

When we die, it continues,

And our souls, as part of it, do also.

Each rebirth is to probe the mysteries deeper,

To learn more lessons – to expand the shared moment,

To move toward a more complete whole.

The paths are many and diverse.

Each is different and some may need retracing.

The good news is we do it together.

The bad news is the same.

All that is, is now.

Only the past is forever

And the future’s always changing.
